The New Sodor Island Forums is a community for fans of the popular Thomas the Tank Engine TV series, popularised by Britt Allcroft, and Railway Series Books originally written by the Reverend W. Awdry and continued by his son, Christopher Awdry.
The forum's original conception in 2002 has since highlighted a more mature, nostalgic international fanbase for the characters, books and TV series, who have shown their appreciation through numerous Fan-Fictions, Media Projects, Essays and General Discussion of the characters and stories, and have helped to provide Thomas, and in later years, sister series, TUGS, with a mature representation and presence on the internet.
